Did you watch the denim up-cycling episode of Sewing Bee? Have you got a couple of pairs of denim stashed at the back of your wardrobe that you’re never gonna wear again? Over the course of the day, we will work through the step-by-step process of unpicking old denim and recycling into a new piece. This will cover basics of sewing you might already be familiar with more advanced construction techniques. Please bring 2 or 3 pairs of old jeans, if you don’t have any, ask your friends or go to your local charity shop! Our studio is fully equipped for all your needs. You will learn lots of great sewing skills including how to alter a pattern to fit you perfectly, cut out a garment, baste stitch and how to create a fell seam. This course is open to everyone regardless of previous sewing experience.
