Graduate Life – Round 2 : School for Social Entrepreneurs

Accepting my graduation certification from Bristol City Mayor Marvin Rees at Bristol City Hall.

As a lot of you know, in July 2016, I was accepted onto the Lloyds Bank and National Lottery backed Schools for Social Entrepreneurs… and here I am writing to share some exciting news – today I graduated!!!

Accidental co-ordination with my Lloyds bank mentor and good friend Anna Bennett.

I wanted to study at SSE to broaden my business knowledge, develop my social enterprise network and be inspired by the caring people in the world doing amazing things for the benefit of others and the planet. The big vision at Annabel Giraud-Telme is to create a self-sustainable, ethically responsible fashion house that delivers free creative schooling for the most vulnerable people in our society. We want to empower them with a skills-based trade, which can then be applied throughout life.

The most important nugget of advice that I have taken away from this course is that your network is your net worth! When you know someone well and they share similar values, they will be the ones pulling you through the most difficult of times that happen.

As I’m sure you realise by now, I’m not a huge fan of being in front of the camera but I forced myself as I had to get souvenirs of such a special day!
